CARESSA LANIER is a managing partner at Phillips Lanier, PLCC in downtown Miami.

Ms. Lanier finished her B.A. in Florida International University, Cum Laude and finished her J.D. in Case Western Reserve University.

With an undergraduate degree in psychology, and specialized coursework in childhood psychopathology, as well as over a decade practicing family law, Ms. Lanier has a unique perspective on family issues.  Not only is she able to help her clients with the legal aspects of their cases, but she can also help them through their emotional issues as well.

Litigation is costly, and unpredictable.  She approaches each case with an eye towards an expeditious settlement, with a favorable result to her clients.  However, some cases need to go to trial.  This is when clients need a tough and thorough litigator, fighting for them in court.  Ms. Lanier is able to accomplish this, while keeping fees to a minimum.

Ms. Lanier has been voted to the Florida Legal Elite in 2017 and 2018. She also volunteers for the non-profit, No More Tears, providing pro bono legal services to the victims of domestic violence and human trafficking.
